​A Prayer for the Thirteenth Sunday
in Ordinary Time
All-powerful God,
your incarnate Word commands our obedience
and offers us true life.
Make our hearts attentive
to the voice of your Son
and our hearts generous in answering his call,
that we may take up the cross
with trust in its promises.
We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ,
your Son, who lives and reigns
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
God for ever and ever.
